Here they are, Elena and Leonardo, the agritourism managers: they appear from under the porch of the main building, welcoming us. They have been together since 2004, have three children and love countryside life and natural food.

Your passion became your job: how did you leap?

“We have always been attracted to the genuine tastes and ingredients that form the foundation of our cooking tradition. However, as Elena tells us, while this was a good starting point, it was not enough on its own.
For 13 years, we managed a private facility for a group of Canadian investors The experience we gained during that time gave us the push we needed to open our place. However, since arriving here in 2019, we have been learning new things day after day, and it has been a beautiful experience.”

Let’s focus on learning, Leonardo: here, while enjoying a holiday and doing sport, your guests can do many activities, can’t they?

“Yes, of course: the educational garden is always much loved and in some periods of the year we organise courses and workshops on various topics connected to land and food, for example, olive growing and grafting (March), agroforestry (from April to September), sourdough and natural leavening. For many of our guests, it’s a special way to have some days off without lazing around.”
